HLS INGEST & RING BUFFER
Pulls stream segments through Streamlink and FFmpeg into a local rolling buffer. No browser automation overhead; supported stream access and platform availability still apply.
// LOCAL-FIRST BROADCAST TOOLING / WIN 10–11
Local, NVENC-accelerated highlight engine for Windows. Ingests live Twitch & Kick broadcasts, triggers on audio + optical spikes, and renders vertical MP4s with CPU-generated hooks—without cloud rendering subscriptions or a separate GPU transcription workload.
Export time varies by clip length, source media, encoder, and hardware. “8 seconds” is a target, not a universal guarantee.
*Compatible NVIDIA GPU/driver required for NVENC; software fallback and performance depend on the system. Actual memory use varies.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW / 3 STAGES
Pulls stream segments through Streamlink and FFmpeg into a local rolling buffer. No browser automation overhead; supported stream access and platform availability still apply.
A 35-second cooldown guards RMS audio-spike and optical motion-delta detection. Event thresholds help reduce repetitive clips; tune them for your stream.
Export 1080×1920 vertical MP4s using Center, Left-Cam Stack, Right-Cam Stack, or Raw 16:9 layouts. Optional local Whisper-powered caption hooks use CPU INT8 where supported.
DOCUMENTATION / FAQ
The processing pipeline runs on your own computer rather than a cloud rendering service, so there is no recurring Glint cloud-rendering bill. Your electricity, hardware, internet, and any third-party service costs remain yours.
The dashboard binds to local loopback at http://localhost:8000 and is intended for access from this computer only. The daemon runs with standard user permissions and does not request administrator elevation. Glint does not use telemetry tracking and does not transmit captured video data to third parties. Separate network activity may still occur for public stream ingestion, initial package installation, optional transcription-model downloads, and optional Discord webhook notifications. Review the source and your configuration before running it.
The export path is tuned for Windows and FFmpeg's h264_nvenc hardware encoder, with a CPU/software fallback where configured. Optional faster-whisper transcription can use INT8 CPU quantization. Actual game performance depends on your hardware, settings, and workload; no FPS impact can be guaranteed.
A 64-bit Windows 10/11 PC, Python 3.10 or newer, FFmpeg, and a compatible NVIDIA GPU/driver for NVENC are recommended. First setup requires internet to install Python dependencies; optional transcription may download a model.
